Description

2 x 1 way satellite cable ground / earth block. This F type coupler block has 2 x F female sockets designed to allow the coupling of two feed cables that are terminated in F connectors.

The block is normally mounted on a solid surface using the fixing screws supplied.

There is a 4mm cable entry on the block for a ground / earth wire.

The purpose of the block is to bond the screen of the cable to earth which will help prevent equipment damage from voltage spikes or lightning strikes.

The ground block is nickel plated for superior connectivity and resistance to corrosion. The block can be used outside but should normally be in an enclosure for outside use.

Normally this type of block is fitted to close any aerial / satellite distribution equipment. since such distribution units are expensive the use of ground blocks is recommended.

The blocks are also useful in domestic setups where a coaxial cable from a satellite dish or terrestrial aerial can be passed through this block in a loft for example.

Two ground blocks are supplied.
