Goodmans Freesat HD Satelllite Receiver GFSAT200HD BNIB!\n\nThe Goodmans GFSAT200HD is the latest offering from Goodmans which allows the reception of the new Freesat service . This box receives both the standard definition SD and the high definition HD transmissions from the satellite\n\nFreesat is a new BBC / ITV satellite service transmitting on the Astra 2D satellite which is the same satellite that Sky uses. Installation of this receiver will immediately give you a free 80 channel service including HD transmissions. Currently BBC HD and ITV HD are available.

Future expansion including CH4 HD will be coming soon. Please note the Freesat service is completely free, even the HD transmissions. Installation of this box even alongside a Sky box allows you to view the HD transmissions therefore getting the most out of your expensive flat panel television.\n\nLets have a look at what you get in the box:

This box boasts extra features such as a satellite out loop connection. This allows the receiver to be connected in line with your Sky box and which receiver is on takes control of the satellite dish. Also fitted is an optical SPDIF digital audio out. The receiver still has legacy connections, 2 scarts, for connection to a standard TV and a VCR or DVD recorder.\n\nThe opertation of the box is extremely straight forward. A simple user interface makes it a breeze to use. A categorised channel list and a 7 day EPG come as standard.

This box has excellent performance with superb picture and sound quality. All the current SD transmissions are upscaled to HDMI for a superior viewing experience. This will box will give superior quality to your existing digi box, eg Sky or Virgin media. Please note however a satellite dish pointing at the Sky satellite is required. The satellite in use is the astra 2D satellite at 28.2 degrees east of South. This receiver unlike a Sky receiver will work anywhere in Europe provided an Astra 2D installation is present.

A further enhancement of the receiver is that it will function as a free to air receiver as well which allows you to add extras to the channel list which are not part of the Freesat service. This includes free Sky channels and free non Sky channels. As an example it is easy to add Luxe TV HD to the channel list by selecting "add non freesat service" and entering the tuning parameters for Luxe TV HD which are 12643MHz Horizontal with a symbol rate of 27500. In the channel list you can swap between Freesat and non Freesat services using the swap button and hey presto you have one extra free HD channel!
