Description

​4.5m / 15ft USB cable to open end. This useful cable is ideal for home USB DIY projects where a lon length USB cable is need.

The cable head has a 4 pin standard USB A male connector with all 4 connections fully wired to the bare cable end.

The cable diameter is 3.7mm and is fitted with a shield and braid for interference protection.

The AWG rating of the cable is 28AWG. The maximum voltage is 30V although the intended use is for 5V applications.

The four colour coded cables inside the shield are:

Pin 1 - Red - USB 5V Positive Power

Pin 2 - White - USB Data Negative

Pin 3 - Green - USB Data Positive

Pin 4 - Black - USB Ground 0V Power

Shield - Connects to Metal Connector Outer Body

The cable is supplied unstripped for your convenience to allow passing through small gaps.

This useful cable is ideal for home projects and would most commonly be used for extracting 5V power from a USB outlet to power

items like lighting, small fans and other low power 5V devices. The maximum current capacity of the cable is 2A which is the common standard on most USB A outlets.
