The term DiSEqC means digital satellite equipment control. This is a protocol that allows a satellite receiver to send instructions to an external device such as a switch or a motor. 

This device is a switch and it will conveniently allow up to 4 satellite dishes or LNB's to be connected to 1 satellite receiver using only one coaxial cable. It is not necessary to populate all of the inputs if they are not required. The switch can be used as a 2 or 3 way switch if required. The DiSEqC version of this switch is version 2.0. It is backwards compatible with older receivers that versions 1.0,1.1 and 1.2 fitted.

The switch is completely weatherproof and should be mounted vertically in a chosen location to prevent water running into the connections. The plastic housing of the switch can be pole or wall mounted.
